Programmes & Pricing

✓ Non-clinical in scope | ✓ occupational therapy degree-qualified design | ✓ HCPC-compliant titling | ✓ CPD certificates provided

How pricing works

Simple, consistent, transparent

One structure

The same clear pricing tiers apply to both programmes. No different rates, no hidden extras.

Three tiers

Priced by delegate number — 8, 12 or 16 — aligned with how activities are designed (small groups of 3–4).

No hidden fees

All materials, templates, certificates and the Quality Assurance review are included. The price you see is the price you pay.

Why three tiers?  All activities in both programmes are designed for small groups of 3–4 delegates. This means that for 9 delegates you would need at least 3 groups — which is why 12 delegates is a natural tier. For larger teams, 16 delegates gives you four groups of four. This keeps the learning practical, safe and genuinely participatory.

Programme 1
Core Programme

OT-Informed Functional Assessment Training

The foundation for safe, structured, non-clinical assessment of daily living.

Teaches homecare and supported living staff to complete a structured, non-clinical assessment of daily living using OT-informed thinking — without any clinical practice. The result: care plans grounded in what a person can actually do, notes that stand up to CQC scrutiny, and a team that understands independence-focused care from the inside.

What is included in every booking

  • Full-day delivery at your venue (6.5 hours contact time)
  • 7 modules covering all daily living domains
  • Assessment templates — professional version and client copy
  • Recording skills framework and plain-English language guide
  • Signposting framework for statutory and community services
  • Signed training register
  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) reference statement mapping training to quality statements
  • Post-training implementation guide for your registered manager
  • Post-training practice review — Occara reviews the first three completed assessments per delegate and returns written feedback within 7 working days (submission window: 10 weeks from training date)
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

  • CPD certificate provided for all delegates
  • Counts towards staff CPD requirements

Best for

Programme 2
Full Day Programme

Reablement Principles & Practice Training

A complete, OT-informed reablement training day for consistent, independence-focused care.

A genuine behaviour-change programme — not a tick-box exercise. Delegates leave with one new habit they can use on their very next visit, a SMARTR goal-setting framework, and the language and confidence to embed reablement consistently across the rota.

What is included in every booking

  • Full-day delivery at your venue (7 hours contact time)
  • 8 modules — mindset through to full case study practice
  • Graded assistance model — levels 1 to 4, practised in role-play
  • Spotting and using micro-opportunities within standard visits
  • Functional capacity and confidence-building techniques
  • SMARTR goal-setting (Specific, Meaningful, Achievable, Reviewed, Time-framed, Reablement-aligned)
  • Reablement in mobility, personal care and kitchen tasks

  • Embedding reablement across the rota — handover language and consistency
  • CPD certificate for every delegate (see CPD note below)
  • Signed training register, group evaluation summary
  • CQC reference statement and post-training implementation guide
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • 7 hours CPD per delegate
  • CPD certificate provided for all delegates

Included in every booking

Post-training practice review

Training changes what your team knows. What happens on visits in the following weeks determines whether that knowledge becomes practice.

Every Occara booking includes a post-training practice review. After training, delegates submit real work from their visits. Occara reviews it and provides written feedback — specific, constructive, and returned within 7 working days. This is not a tick-box sign-off. It is expert eyes on real practice, early enough to correct habits before they form.
Assessment programme
What Occara reviews
  • The first three completed assessments submitted per delegate
  • All seven domains checked against the Occara standard
  • Language, structure, goals and signposting reviewed
  • Written feedback to the delegate and the registered manager
  • Group summary to the registered manager once all submissions are reviewed
Submission rules: Real completed assessments only — partial assessments, drafts and training worksheets are not accepted. Submissions must be received within 10 weeks of the training date.
Reablement programme
What Occara reviews
  • One reablement plan or goal per delegate
  • One reablement-aligned daily note per delegate
  • Goal quality, graded assistance recording, note structure and language reviewed
  • Written feedback to the delegate and the registered manager
  • A note on team-wide patterns if observed across submissions
Submission rules: Real visits only — practice examples and training worksheets are not accepted. Both items submitted within 10 weeks of the training date.
Why the practice review matters to you as a provider
Demonstrates to the Care Quality Commission that training has changed practice, not just been attended
Your registered manager receives written evidence of individual delegate progress
Practice concerns identified early — before they become embedded in daily visits
A specialist point of contact in the weeks after training, not just on the day
Want ongoing oversight after the included review?
The monthly practice support retainer extends this to an ongoing arrangement — monthly document review, written feedback and a call with your registered manager. From £250 per month.
